- A minimum of five years working full-time as a counsellor in the
addiction area.
- An accredited member of the IAAAC, and of other national umbrella
counselling organisation: i.e. PSI. BACP etc.
- Is in on-going supervision with an accredited and experienced supervisor
for supervised work
- Has undertaken a substantial training module/theory of clinical
supervision i.e. a minimum of 100 hours
- That during this training their supervised work was assessed and
supervised
- That relevant documentation on course content be submitted
- Submit a detailed application form, together with audio-tape and notes of
a supervisory session
- Agree to abide by the IAAAC Code of Practice for Accredited Supervisors
- Show evidence of professional Indemnity insurance
- Payment of a processing fee and an annual fee for renewal of
membership.
- The decision of the Accreditation committee is subject to ratification by the
Executive committee of the IAAAC.
